Health articles and concerns are increases a lot this days. With no exercise and bad eating habbits new diseases are born, imparting the health and inturn life.

I was just walking by the beach today and noted so many obese children. No Offence but It was really a sad view. This children were tired just by playing for 5 – 10 minutes. That’s why I am writing this article just to spread a small word on how important it is to take care of our body.

According to WHO, Health education is any combination of learning experiences designed to help individuals and communities improve their health, by increasing their knowledge or influencing their attitudes. We as adult  are the once who play a role to influence the children.

I feel health education is a major aspect of health promotion activity. Through this, as health educators, we can increase health awareness among people, thus lead to change in behaviour. TO be a good educator, we must be role model to them, because what students see on us, may have an impact of their behavior and learning.

Though now a days health education is encouraged in school, the right way to implement it comes from home, by us.

Health education builds one’s knowledge, skills, and develop positive attitudes. Health education teaches us about physical, emotional and social health. It motivates children to improve and maintain their health, prevent disease, and reduce risky behaviours.

Health education in school help students learn skills they will use to make healthy choices throughout their lifetime. Effective curricular result in positive changes in behaviour that lower student risks around: alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, injury prevention, mental and emotional health, nutrition, physical activity and prevention of diseases.

Health education promotes learning in other subjects! Numerous studies have shown that healthier students tend to do better in school. They have higher attendance, have better grades, and perform better on tests.
